Not with BMW motorcycles equipped with BMW's GPS/Navigation holder. Alien Rider's M2-BMW and M2S-BMW snap into the holder. Depending on your version of the holder, it will come with a key-matched locking system, or the lock is integrated with the motorcycle ignition. The M2-BMW and M2S-BMW work with either system.
The 6.2" M2-BMW screen is wider than the 5" M2S-BMW screen.
The M2-BMW can be controlled with the WonderWheel, while the M2S-BMW comes with a Bluetooth remote that provides similar funciontality.

Yes, M2-BMW and M2S-BMW can be used with Alien Rider's BMW Camera kit. The kit include high quality Sony CMOS 1080P front and rear cameras, plus a dongle to connect them to the display. The dongle is attached with screws to the display, and connects to the cameras waterproof, color coded cables ends.
When the display is removed from the motorcycle, the camera cables need to be disconnected. This is an easy and quick procedure.
The Universal displays include a power cable with a waterproof quick connector on one end and three wiring leads on the other. Two leads connect directly to the motorcycle battery: red to positive (+) and black to negative (-). In most cases, installation only requires basic hand tools such as a screwdriver.
The third lead connects to a switched accessory circuit so the display powers on and off with the motorcycle’s ignition. The easiest connection method depends on the motorcycle, but a common solution is to tap into a switched fuse circuit such as the horn, lights, or accessory fuse. When using this method, be sure to connect on the protected side of the fuse.
The cameras and radar use waterproof, color-coded connectors that plug directly into the matching connectors on the Alien Rider quick-release power supply base, making installation straightforward and secure.
Cable routing will vary depending on the motorcycle, but best practices are to keep wiring away from moving parts, sharp edges, heat sources, and areas where cables could rub or snag during operation. The included installation kit provides plenty of zip ties to help secure the wiring neatly along the frame, bodywork, or existing factory harness routing points for a clean and reliable installation.
